Funny things we can not forget you say

Mikayla- "Mom- we don't use the word kill right?"
Mommy- "that's correct we don't use that word"

(a few minutes later I went to ask Jonathan what that was all about)

here's Jonathan's conversation with her-
Mikayla- "Dad, Don't kill Mommy"
Daddy- "Why would I do that Mikayla?"
Mikayla- "Mommy says you would kill her"
Daddy- "Why would I want to do that to Mom"
Mikayla- "When we were at Costco the other day I tried to get Mommy to buy some more new clothes for me"
Daddy- "Okay....?"
Mikayla- "Mommy said that you would kill her if she bought any more clothes right now"

Another pretty funny one she has said lately-
"Mom I have a hypothesis"...
me- "whats your Hypothesis Mikayla?"
Mikayla- "well its about Dinosaurs"
(for those of you who don't know 'Dinosaur Train' is a great PBS kids show)

Disclaimer: I still don't know how to post in order of events so sorry if this is confusing-

Its official the busy season has started in the Baker household!

My parents came out for a short visit the first weekend of Sept.

I was sick in bed almost the entire time they were here...so Mikayla was kept busy by Papa and "Wyan" and my lovely husband-

Mikayla started Preschool, Dance, and Gymnastics!

The morning of preschool she got herself ready almost an hour before we had to leave and tried to get in our car about three times

She was so frustrated that I had to take a before and after picture- but she will always have pictures on the first day of school so hopefully she gets use to it!

So tired looking and happy when she came out from her first day!

First day of Dance- she gets to go with her best friend so she was so excited to tap and do ballet! and she came back singing a song about "Ellie the elf sitting on a shelf" so cute!

We went and hung out with one of my bff's from college- Stacie and her husband and Mikayla HAD to get a puppy painted on her face- that was also a fight to clean off!

Finally she let me take some cute pictures of her and she even sat still!

We had a fun Park City weekend date with Daddy- went on the Alpine Coaster and Slide,

and got to go visit a fun work site for Daddy! So pretty too!

"Mom take a picture of me and Addie- he is wearing a necklace" Gosh I love that she tortures the dogs and they don't mind!

Jonathan turned 30

Here's to a Happy 30 year for my wonderful husband! He is my best friend and I am so thankful to have such a good man! Love you Babe!

At the beginning of the month I asked Jonathan what he wanted for his Birthday- all he seems to ever say is "do what you want to do, its not a big deal"....

so this year I thought I would surprise him more than a couple times

We started off with a yummy Breakfast at a new waffle house called Red Rooster,

then went on a bit of a fun Mall date with Mikayla,

the off to Benihanna for a yummy dinner- which I think was the first Dinner Mikayla has sat through entirely- because she ate with chopsticks!

Well that was the day of his birthday-

So on the 30th we surprised him big time-

first I told him we were going out so not to stay in basketball attire-

We surprised him with his immediate family for dinner at Olive Garden-

His brother David prank called him 30 (well almost) times on the phone-

And then we topped it off we coming home to an empty drive way (like normal)

to find 20 people inside waiting to surprised him for cake and ice cream (Thanks to my friend Kristy)

August

August was full of family!

Jonathan's Granny had her 80th Birthday

so the whole family was there to celebrate-

All three little boys are about 1 year old!

Porter (sitting with Mikayla) on the deer is 2, Mikayla 3 and Shaleigh 4! these little kids are growing up too fast!

Mikayla loves this dress but I have yet to get a good picture of her in it

She loves being goofy so this is the best portrayal of her!

I just sat and watched- but he never touched it...just there to observe!

July

After Cali- Mikayla was invited to this huge birthday for some Hispanic girls in our ward- they throw the best parties!

So she came home like this....with her face painted and tons of candy, snow cone stained hands and skirt, happy as could be.....

Until I gave her a bath night and washed her face!

You would have thought I was abusing the kid by how upset she was to have that face paint taken off.....

So the next day I went and purchased a kit....

She had her face painted about three days in a row before realizing that she didn't always have to have it like this! ...too funny!

"Mom take a picture of me and my dogs!, Cowina is being hiwawious!"

attempted upside down french braids...and before I could take this picture she already rubbed on the carpet and messed it up....

Maybe we'll try again when she is older!

This was so funny- all I hear was Mikayla begging Jonathan to do her hair-

"Dad can you please fix my hair today...I want you to do it instead of Mommy"....

Here it goes..... He had a few pointers but not too bad for the first time!

Mikayla loves her best friend 'Summer' but I feel its more of a love hate relationship....

They love to play together ....but hate to share toys! fun times!

Cali Trip

I don't feel like we took enough pictures of the whole Cali trip but it was so much fun

My little bro Ryan came with us and we drove...

Vegas, and a two day drive...

The beach house was so much fun -The sand box was Mikayla's favorite part.

Any time we were home Mikayla was in her bathing suit....or playing in the sad...

OH ....did I mention that Mikayla also loved the hot tub-

she would come out butt naked and then ask if she could go swimming....

Nice

and yes she also played pool this way....I finally had to take a picture after the third day of this nudity!
