Oh the funny things you say

The Olympics have played on our TV for the past two weeks! At first it was fun, exciting and amazing to watch all those athletes try for a gold...but now...I think I'm done with them...

Mikayla being the sponge that she is was going back and forth from my bathroom to the main family room where Jonathan was watching some sort of game. Anyways, all of a sudden I hear "Bull Cwap, Daddy Bull Cwap, Bull Cwap Daddy, Bull Cwap (repeated at least 50 times!!!!)" I knew she had to have heard this from her Dad so I just kept my mouth shut and was trying not to laugh and I hear him try and explain that Bull Crap is a naughty word, and that Daddy shouldn't be saying this word.

Maybe that will be the last lesson he needs to watch what he says....

Last month she was watching TV with daddy when someone said, "You Bit@#" and so yes...she repeated that word for a few minutes...luckily no reaction was given so she has forgotten all about it (hopefully)

February Fun

My little girl is not a baby anymore!
She definitely has some funny genes from the two of us...
Being goofy- from me...
and the famous "Taco Tongue" from Daddy! (it must a recessive gene because my Dad & Cousins have it too! Dang it!...
Mikayla has made some great things happen in the last couple of weeks!
-She loves playing with our new neighbor Summer...who happens to be a month younger and just as sneaky as Mikayla!
-Wearing Mommy's make-up "Look Mommy I am a clown" is what she said when she saw her face!
-She loves hiding Daddy while he is taking a nap..in all of her clean (just folded laundry!)- and yes she is in underwear! So.........
-To my Favorite part....SHE IS ALL POTTY TRAINED!!!!!!!! wahoo!

Our Trip to Seattle

Mikayla and I had the opportunity to go to Seattle to see my family. We had so much fun enjoying the unusually warm weather they had. One day it felt like 70 degrees! It was great! Mikayla learned some new dance moves from Uncle Ryan...and I got to help make tons more Birthday and Thank You cards with my Mom's talent of rubber stamping!
We also had the opportunity to go downtown to the Science Center & play on a few fun rides out near the Space needle. Mikayla's favorite part of the trip she says was "playing with Papa & making crafts with Grandma Barby." The funny thing is that all she says everyday is "Uncle Ryan is a devil Child...he's a funny guy." So I am glad she has a fun memory. She also saw Uncle Brad who she hasn't seen in a year! She keeps telling me that Uncle Brad gave her a shirt (which I mentioned to her about 6 months ago!) She has a great little memory!

New Year and New Goals

Yes, we all seem to have these things called "resolutions" but do we really ever stick to them? Hummm probably not, I know I tried really hard to ...but yet I failed again and I am not any better than I was a year ago, or so it seems.

This past week I was chatting with a good friend of mine and she mentioned this story about a friend of hers who has lost a two month old baby boy. I got off the phone very sad, but thought I needed to really have a reality check of what happened to this family. I just wanted to go and hug them and take away their pain. Help with her kids, comfort the mom.
What gives me the right to bare and rear a child that is healthy and perfect as any child could be? Why am I blessed to be okay with the money we have, or the lovely home we have been able to afford? Why should I be grateful. Well I would right a few novels on the the subject after reading that blog and knowing that no matter what, no matter what we are given in life- we can do this! We are able to handle everything if we but trust in the Lord. Pray for those you hear of and know that no one wants you to Not succeed in whatever desires you have. And that I do care about you and your families. I am thankful for the many blessings I have and many more to come blessing in my life. Thankful everyday that Heavenly Father has blessed me to be who I am. Onto bigger and a better 2010 for you and your families. Set goals...that you can accomplish! and good luck!

Back to Blogging

So I guess I have procrastinated the inevitable...until this past week. Yes I take breaks, and yes my blog is NOT my number one priority in life so there you go-

No excuses...just life!

December seemed to come and go so quickly that I took tons of pictures and videos - and here are some quick thoughts-

*Mikayla, loving every second of having our Christmas Tree up & asking to make Ginger bread houses every day- till we gave in and had fun making them!* A completely lost week after what was supposed to be a two day ear surgery/adenoid removal for our little girl! -and Yes she is better now...and hearing tons better (which means she is also speaking better)
*Mikayla asking every day- "Mom when is Santa gonna come and bring presents?"
*Snow, Snow and more snow- that still hasn't melted off our driveway from a few weeks ago, thanks to the North facing view!
*Tons of fun with Family (including a yummy dinner my Sis-in-law and I made for our Husbands! Delicious & not to be attempted again anytime soon!
*An Overwhelming supply of presents for our beautiful little girl!
* And of course an amazing nice quiet Christmas at home with my little family, enjoying every second of each other company and a Yummy Turkey Dinner for the three of us- leftovers included! Yum!
*And yes we can't forget about the nice surprising New Years Eve Dinner, complete with some Pearl Earrings to match my Bracelet and Necklace!

I am so blessed and thankful for my husband and healthy Little girl!

"Waaadies and Gentewlman"

I think its about time to post something amazing on here. Especially being that its almost the end of November already! Time flies when you are having fun!
Mikayla's Vocabulary has skyrocketed so here is a sample of what funny phrases she is saying:
"Waadies and gentewlman"
"Ha Raw Kit Tee" (Hello Kitty- almost sounds the same as a Japanese person speaking English!)
"Mom, I Haab a question"......pause.... more pausing.... (she will say that and then walk away)
"Addies a Boy puppy"
"Kina is a Girl Puppy"
"Mom I Hab Boobs"
"I want to go see Kwistmas at Wowwes" (I want to go see Christmas at Lowe's)
"Santas Bwinging me a Pink Monkey" ....and where is Santa going to find it??????? ahh? Who knows where she saw one!
Anyways she is hilarious so here is a short video of her funniness (may take a while to load) I'll have to find a shorter way to put this on!
