Well Mikayla is on her way to being able to sit up on her own
as well as roll to one side. She has gotten so much more alert in the past few weeks.
She is a total Mommas girl right now and knows my voice so when she hears me she either smiles because she can hear me or cries because i'm not holding her! We are having so much fun with her. I gave her a bath the other night and put a few bath toys in the water and she was splashing and smiling so much! Its fun to see her new excitement of life! Things seem to be going pretty well here for us. Jonathan is getting ready to turn the big "2-7" this Sunday he will be an old fart soon! (wait....if he is an old fart what does that make the grandparents?....just kidding. Anyways happy end of August-

Mikayla had her baby blessing this past sunday and saw some family that she hasn't met before. She seemed to do pretty well being held by a few more people than normal. She seemed to settle right into Grandpa and Grandma Bakers arms! And giggled a little when being tickled by "Duncle" (Uncle David)...

She looked so cute in her beautiful blessing dress that Grandma Curtis brought up...and She had some glamour shots taken by her adopted Grandma and Aunt (Cynthia and Tanya). We bought her a bumbo chair to help her sit up and she seems to like it. So we took a video clip for you to see her. The funniest part of it all is she seemed so happy and smiley during this video. Right after this video was taken I knew I needed to check her diaper well.....lets just say that Daddy had an excuse to "do the dishes" because she had the BIGGEST EXPLOSION diaper yet! I'm sure that their are plenty more of those to come but it was a big supprise to me. Luckliy a bath was all she needed! and I am sure that her babbling and wines during her bath translated into 'my daddy is to much of a wuss! to change my bad diapers!' luckily she is cute!
