....And the Poop Gets Worse!!!!!!!

So before we ever decided to have a baby I contemplated different things like- having to change diapers 24-7 and cleaning up things I wouldn't ever think of in my scariest dreams. I always knew it wouldn't be an easy job and that I would have to do things I didn't want to... well here it goes. This has no pictures so I can spare Mikayla some embarrassment in her future.
These are the 3 greatest Poo stories of Mikayla so far- the worse part is I can't even imagine this getting any worse!!!!!!!

First was when she was about 5 months old she sat in her new bumbo chair and of course this is the perfect pooing position. I was watching a friends little boy as well so I didn't really have any extra hands to clean up....but she pooped all the way up to her neck and when I picked her up the liquid poo was pouring out of outfit and a puddle of this mess was in her chair. I wrapped her in a blanket carried her up to the tub and she had a bath! Ahh clean again

The second was definitely bad luck because my little brother had just asked me the day before "Julie, What is the worse mess of Mikayla's you've ever changed?" We were stuck in Seattle traffic coming home and I thought she was just fussy. So when we stopped to get a few groceries I opted to change her in the van- thinking this would be the normal poo. Well this poo was also not-so-normal. She had had too many grapes that day and ohhhh yes liquid poo everywhere in her new pink car seat, her hair!!!, just trust me it was everywhere! And yes I was by myself again changing this. I did have the little brother as an on looker! with the teenage comments like "ewe that is so gross" and "I am never having kids."

Number 3 yet again- TODAY I called her Dr. worried about a bumm rash that has been an extreme for the past two days. It was recommended to let her sleep with a diaper off so she can "air out" So I kept checking on her so she wouldn't pee/poo in her bed. Well the quiet little one woke up and I thought Oh good I was just about to check on her again. So I went in to find poo EVERYWHERE!!!!!!!!! hair, hands, blankets, back you name it she did it (luckily she still was sucking on her binky.....and I checked to make sure she didn't sample any!!! AHHHH the joys of being a mommy!!!

And I want another one???

Week 3-

Well after a long week of rocking and rolling...
Mikayla and I stayed with my parents back in Seattle. Jonathan unfortunately came home to the dogs disasters in the backyard. Meaning that Corrina decided to tear out about 10 sprinklers to our sprinkler system....and Addie dug about that same number of holes around the fence. The sad part is they didn't work together...maybe next time they'll actually flood the yard and find escape route!
Grandpa Thompson bought a cool bike hookup for Mikayla to sit in so our family could go on a bike ride. Mikayla did not like the idea of a helmet at all! But she did love the ride- so much that she fell asleep every day we went for a ride!

Mikayla got to see the "doggies" again and was much more gentle this time.

She also went to the Science Center in Seattle and loved the Butterflies and of course the cool baby play area!

Ryan ....well of course he loved the NAKED MOLE RATS!!!

The best was Mikayla loving Grandpa Thompson. He always would take her outside to feed the animals. This included Mikayla carrying the corn- so she of course had to eat some herself-

The is thinking "this is serious business carrying my new toy that I won't let anyone touch or take away. And- time to go home!

The Second Week was our Adventure on a Celebrity Cruise to Alaska.
Mikayla had a lot of "firsts" on this that definately can't be ignored. We had a fun time with
Jonathan's family- his Dad, Terry, Paul, Charlotte, David, Annie & Jon.
This was a 7 day cruise so here is Mikayla's Diary of her experience:
Day 1:
*I had my picture taken by atleast 10 oriental people.
*I broke my first plate and spilt a glass of water.
*I had a whole gourmet meal just for me: Carrots, Broccoli, Chicken, Spagetti and Bread- all of these plates are mine!
*Daddy put on my swimming suit so I was like a mermaid (all in one leg!) Day 2:
*I went to my first formal dinner
*I danced for a few strangers
*Looked through a cool glass floor.
*I got really good at walking while the boat was rocking-Mommy and Daddy laughed the entire time.

Day 3:
*I said "Doggie" for the first time and about 50 more times that day! Now everything that moves is a "Doggie".
*I went Bed Bundgie Jumping- right into the mirror Wall of our bedroom!
*I picked up my first Alaskan Sea Rock and tried to eat it.
*I went on my first Tender Boat to go to shore at Sitka Alaska!
*I met my first real boyfriend-Oliver, who people say that we look alike just a boy and girl version!
*I got up the stairs to the main Stage while waiting and Ran across Stage in front of everyone.
*The best part of the day is when I took a small carton of Milk and spilt it all over Mommys nice dinner dress and smiled!

Day 4:
*I was captivated by Asians all Day LONG!
*Daddy decided to do a Polar Bear swim while by Hubbard Glacier. He won the Polar Bear Award- meaning he likes being in cold water and screaming like a Bear!

Day 5:
*I let Mommy and Daddy go so they could take a helicopter ride to a Glacier. I wasn't too happy staying with Grandma and Grandpa- I cried almost the whole time!

Day 6:
*Spent the morning with Mommy touring Ketchikan, Alaska while Daddy went on a Salmon fishing trip.
Day 7:
*Had picture taken by orientals all day long!
*Went to the Beautiful Butchart Gardens in Victoria, B.C.- I loved eating the flowers!
*The taxi driver drove us back to the boat so slow that I decided to drop a big poo in my pants and make the whole van smell and the Driver still took his time getting us back!

The END! (This is me after a long week!)

Mikayla had such a fun time up in Seattle with my family. She loved going on walks with Grandpa and Grandma.
We took an evening walk over to see the newest addition to their family.

Mikayla loved the Puppies (a little too much...but luckily we were there to help out)
The Momma of these Golden Retrivers had her first littler... 12 puppies!!!!

3 Girls and 9 Boys! Ryan picked out a Girl. Here she is! how cute!

I would be crazy to take one home because I know how big they get! But they were definately tempting because of how cute and little they are right now!
