7 weeks and 1 day old! Today Mikayla started smiling in response to us! so we got a few smiles on video http://video.google.ca/videoplay?docid=3758640123196774431

Also we went on our first play date with the girls from my Maternity class. Mikayla was suppose to be the last born out of the other babies in the class and she was the first....but is still the tiniest. She is growing so much but it seems the other babies had a a bigger head start!

And just an FYI for reasons I have gotten most of her pictures taken while she is sleeping....because she is either crying or eating when she's awake...so the occasional video is usually at her most alert time of the day.

7 weeks old tonight!

WEll Mikayla is getting bigger by the second! She is staying awake a lote more..but is still very fussy if she isnt being held....so we are spending a lot of time here at home :-)

anyways We finally got to church on sunday and she was very good! she slept almost the entire time so it made me a little more encouraged to get my bumm out of bed and go!

She is still mixing her days and nights right now so I've become a night owl for the first time in my life! 1-5am seem to be the "funnest" and occasionally she'll sleep 4-5 hours from around 2am on.

Anyways I'm finally starting to feel somewhat normal so hopefully with this a routine will come in to play. Our house is still a disaster but that was to be expected.

The pictures are....1st one is an outfit that says "chicks rule" and has little chickens on it...Thank you Grandma Thompson!....and the second is one I bought in the states that Jonthan liked! its very cute (and she didnt even poop on it :-)

Happy 6 weeks! well in a few hours Mikayla will officially be six weeks old! I can't belive how fast time has gone by. Its amazing to she how much she has grown in a few short weeks....

Life of being a new mommy is amazing! the only crazy thing is adjusting my entire life! I am so happy to have little Mikayla here! Jonathan is such a good daddy to her and we just love this little girl so much! I am very thankful that everything went so well with this pregnancy. What a blessing it is to have this little family!
