"Waaadies and Gentewlman"

I think its about time to post something amazing on here. Especially being that its almost the end of November already! Time flies when you are having fun!
Mikayla's Vocabulary has skyrocketed so here is a sample of what funny phrases she is saying:
"Waadies and gentewlman"
"Ha Raw Kit Tee" (Hello Kitty- almost sounds the same as a Japanese person speaking English!)
"Mom, I Haab a question"......pause.... more pausing.... (she will say that and then walk away)
"Addies a Boy puppy"
"Kina is a Girl Puppy"
"Mom I Hab Boobs"
"I want to go see Kwistmas at Wowwes" (I want to go see Christmas at Lowe's)
"Santas Bwinging me a Pink Monkey" ....and where is Santa going to find it??????? ahh? Who knows where she saw one!
Anyways she is hilarious so here is a short video of her funniness (may take a while to load) I'll have to find a shorter way to put this on!

Happy Halloween

Mikayla had so much fun this year!
Unfortunately she was under the weather so she wasn't smiley like she normally is...but she did enjoy everything!

First she wanted to be Tinkerbell....and in the end Belle- from Beauty and the Beast won! So she was our little Blondie Belle

She was pretty scared at first to trick-or-treat...but she realized she got candy at every house! So she had fun! She also went to a fun Halloween Kids party, with cotton candy, a treasure hunt, pinata and candy necklace making!

October Fun

October...planting bulbs and organizing the house! And all the while.. Mikayla appears to make her daily messes...

Today...its floss- the dental hygiene is always a good thing...even if it costs a box of floss :-)
To the pumpkin patch we go. Mikayla loved picking up every pumpkin that wasn't heavier than her. It was a pretty cold day but she seemed to have fun. Next year- off to find a more fun patch- w/ hayrides and apple cider
When we returned to Grandpa and Grandma Curtis' house she wanted to be "a real doctor" to Papa- and he had to "sit still"
Sunday before church I even remembered to take a few cute pictures of my little dolly. She had to bring her Pumpkin "wing" and Pumpkin bag to church!
Now time for Happy Halloween! Mikayla has a cold so hopefully it will be gone by Friday! and for sure Saturday to go Trick or Treat!

Remember our friend "Mickey" the Mouse....
Mikayla is totally into any Disney Characters so we showed her we had a real "Mickey" outside
Last week our little Scottie helped rat out a mouse living in our garden....chased it to a window well and the darn thing was trapped! So we had to get rid of it and Mikayla watched the whole thing. According to her...Mickey the Mouse was just "sleeping"....and then when she kept asking about it we told her we let it go back to its home in the field! Field of Dreams I guess. Anyways
we are busy bees keeping up with her. Loving the weather right now too!
We also got a chance to go to the State Fair....which Mikayla loved!
She Got her fall shoes and loves wearing her new outfits all the time!

Why not take a redneck picture in front of the cow bumms! Yay!

Back in the Swing of Summer

Well we have had one eventful week after another this summer.
We went to Seattle,
to a Cabin at Flaming Gorge,
on a much needed overnight getaway in Reno.
A Dozen or so trips to the Zoo!
And visits with lots of Family and Friends we haven't seen in a while.
And while all of this is going on....
Jonathan has been a busy working bee finishing up some promising deals,
Julie has been busy being a mommy,
and Miss Mikayla has been potty training, and learning her letters, shapes, and dancing skills!

To My Sweetheart on our special day
We have now been married for 6 Years! And yes we have had some big things happen in that short time-
3 big moves3 Colleges- and a Graduation!!!
1 sweet baby girl
and 1 beautiful home of our own!
Thank you for everything you do for me and I hope you enjoy the fun things I've planned for today :-)

Love you Always and Forever!
Pigtails and Babies
My cute little girl let me fix her hair up a few weeks ago...and since then the Pigtails are finally in season. The background to this is from the movie Matilda- where the evil Ms. Trunchbowl swung a little girl around by her braided pigtails....so a stipulation to us having a girl was that I would "NOT" fix our little girls hair like that. So.... I thought I'd test the water and EVERYONE including the husband loves them!

Mikayla looked so grown up the other day when she wanted her pants .....the yellow sweater on...and of course her bear backpack. The funny part is that it was hot outside!!!! but this is what a two year old wants to wear....so this is what she wore! as well as sitting at her own table of course!

Also she has had a weird habit of climbing out of her bed and falling asleep on the chair in her room. So we have found her like this a few times now....doesn't look that comfy to me!

AND....LAST BUT NOT LEAST!!!!!

Mikayla has her First little cousin- named Thomson was born a few days ago and we had the treat of visiting him yesterday. Mikayla loved him and is still talking about him! he was 8lbs 2 oz and 21 inches long!!! so Congrats to her Aunt and Uncle!

I am Definitely TWO!!!!

-Get a very big boo-boo by putting pajamas over her head and running around the house in circles ...and crashing into our banister

The best part is when I realized while was filming that she had dumped all of our apples into the popcorn bowl. to make a nice soggy "copporn" as she calls it.-She loves to Open doors now...meaning not very many full sleep nights anymore :-(

-She throws a pretty mean tantrum....usually while I laugh my head off at how ridiculous she looks

- She loves to color on the dogs, put stickers on them, or try to sit or ride them like a horse

-She calls us by our first names! (lovely)

-She is Binky & Bottle free for 4 days now! and counting- she has found 3 hidden ones since which is fun to "trade" her for something else

-She loves opening the fridge/freezer and telling me "NO... I needs it" usually followed by a total melt down and laying on the floor.

-She loves to wear our shoes.....which is followed by tons of bracelets and jewelry!

The one to top it off..... at her latest doctor apt I was given a few pamphlets on "normal two year old development- and the list included kicking, biting, pinching and screaming.....and yes she as now learned and managed to do all of these.

Bring on the fun!

Birthday Post

Mikayla's bug birthday was a huge success. Mikayla got her first "bike" a pink & purple tricycle. Ladybug games, hats, and bug party favors, ladybug cupcakes and all topped off with a few thousand live ladybugs that the kids got to take home. Did I mention you have to put them in the fridge first to take them out of the baggie? Well Jonathan decided to open them in the house and we had a handful flying in our house for a few minutes.

Next My birthday was actually quite nice. Mikayla and I met up with a good friend and her kids for lunch and some cool birthday gifts. That evening Jonathan and I enjoyed a quiet dinner at a place we haven't been to since we moved back and strolled the Mall. Topped off with my favorite....a yummy ice cream cake! I also was shocked at how nice people were at noticing it was my birthday on face book...I think this one hit me a little harder knowing there is only one more year of being in my twenties! But hey I can't say I've change that much...a few wrinkles and gray hairs.

Albuquerque here we come.....and here we leave!
We went down to my Grandma Thompson's 80th Birthday Party this past weekend.
Mikayla and I were able to catch the same flight with my Dad and go down together. This was the most happy I have ever seen my Grandma! I was glad she had a good day with everyone. We had the party at my Grandma's favorite place- the Natural History Museum.

Grandpa with Mikayla looking at Dinosaurs! Roooooaaaar!

Grandma Thompson- seeing her great-granddaughter for the first time! Mikayla was already pigging out on the yummy berries!

This is my Grandma's Brother (Uncle Gordie) Also seeing Mikayla for the first time

Mikayla also had her first real Easter Egg Hunt with some extended family of my Dad's. She was so happy grabbing all of those eggs. She was pretty upset that it was all over so fast and kept talking about it. My dad and I decided to hide some of her eggs back at the hotel so she could play some more!
And last but not least!!! My Sweet Aunts gave Mikayla this very nice Easter basket full of goodies! Mikayla immediately dug into a chocolate egg and she still has to carry around her basket and bunnies!
Over all- the best visit I've ever had with my Dad's side of the family! I hope we can see them again soon!

Utah Crazy weather.....warm enough to garden...then snow, snow, and more snow
Mikayla gave us a scare having to be tested for a very serious childhood disease...but everything is well and she was not diagnosed with anything!
Jonathan- busy as ever closing deals w/ work and making new ones!
and me.... cleaning, trying to get sleep whenever I can! and of course gardening when its warm!

I'll put some new Pict's up soon-

Mikayla wore this cute dress to church. She thought it was so neat to have pockets for her binky! She decided to stand still for a moment to take these two pictures... in front of her little kitchen of course!

Say NO to "CACK"

The other night I was getting ready to put Mikayla to bed and I looked over to see her bumm sticking out of a wet saggy diaper. I picked her up and made a comment to Daddy "Look Daddy, say no to crack", and he started laughing. Then our little sponge said "CACK", "CACK Funny", "CACK". So Cack is the new word of our household! and then today she started showing one again so yes....Mikayla's first really embarrassing picture was taken!

Cleaning up messes is my new middle name...
Mikayla is such a funny little girl
growing and learning every day...Goldfish...no.."Me all Done"
Chocolate brownie mix..."Yummy, Mo Peeese"
"Mommy Please don't cry over spilled milk...especially since it spilled into every kitchen drawer on the way down....don't worry Nana will help clean it up!"
Mikayla is always able to enjoy a good bowl of ice cream with me. Of course her latest is eating out of her own bowl... Yummy!

Mikayla has also learned the art of wearing jewelry sooo....
this brings us to the next grown up thing....

Mikayla got her ears pierced
Yes she did cry TONS!!!!! and Yes I felt like she was a circus freak in the store since every customer seemed to freeze and watch our beauty get hurt! luckily she only complained for the first 2 days and has been a trooper since.... the painful but fun things about being a girl!

And of course the best part of the month...Coming home to find 4 dozen roses and a home cooked yummy dinner and romantic evening from my husband.
