OOOPS! I forgot to push "publish"-
Happy Easter!

Mikayla's Easter Egg hunt at Aunt Margrets house
Mikala wasn't sure what to make of the Easter stuff but everything had to go in the mouth. I can say that now her favorite is a little Backyardigan figure (Pablo)

OOOh look at the cute ladybug basket!

I tried to take a picture of her cute dress that Grandma Thompson bought her....but as you can see she doesn't understand the whole pose for the camera thing yet.

She does like laughing though- as you can see here (and the dog looking at her like she is protecting her)

And yes Mikayla went to 2 JAZZ Games in a row!!! we got lucky and were fortunate enough to have tickets of his Dad's while he was out of town. Mikayla actually did great at the game for being her bed time and really loud at times. She is 2 for 2 wins- so hopefully she will be a playoffs "goodluck charm".

Daddy and Mikayla for her first game- as you can see Daddy didn't want me to take any pictures.

Sorry I thought I had posted this already since its been almost a month since I put these on here! Mikayla and I have been in Seattle with my family for the past week and then settling back in to life in Utah (fun). Anyways I hope you all had a happy Easter and that it is getting warmer whether in Canada or the USA.
This past Friday we got our grass in!!!!! the hard part is that the puppies can't go out on it yet so that it can settle and root before the dog races start!
Well let us know what you have been up to...I'll post more pictures later this week (hopefully).

The past few days have been quite eventful in the life of our little Mikayla...so here are just a few of the things that have stuck out...

Mikayla saw her first "full length animated feature" on Saturday....Horton Hears A Who- and she loved it....for about 10 minutes and then she wanted to get down and crawl around. So I spent the majority of the movie near the front of the theatre on the stairs while Mikayla found popcorn and licorice....that we didn't purchase of course! Luckily I brought plenty of snacks to substitute her findings! The other funny thing about this was on the way home from the movie I picked through the almond M&M's and went to put this great treasure in my mouth....and I realized it is the true definition of a "Weenis" so if anyone ever happens to ask you what one is.....show them this picture-

Mikayla loves pulling herself up on everything she can get her hands on. So our latest buy was a baby lock for the TV cabinet...unfortunately the pet cage can't have to much of a lock since we use it every day!

And for the last update........umm yeah I don't have to say much....

This picture and video explains it all....so here it is....

Everything and More....Happy March!
Sooooo yes I guess in a sense I have no excuses for not posting for almost a month so here is a catch up. Mikayla our "little Princess" is crawling now so she is trouble! she loves crawling over to her diaper bag and taking everything out of it and inspecting each thing by teeth or by shaking it in her hand and jabbering like she needs that item. Its pretty funny.

here is the first video of Mikayla crawling...sorry I will get a clearer one on here soon-

This is Mikayla in her Purple Princess outfit after church. She didn't even mess with the cute new Tiara! I love dressing her up of course! Why not...she is only little once!

Corrina also loves Mikayla and likes to lick her....Mikayla tends to squirm like I do and not let her...but the attempt is always made!

The one thing we did agree on is changing the place to put our new TV. It originally was "Jonathan's new toy" but I have to say watching HD brings Ellen, Oprah, and Tyra shows to a whole new level! I guess that's what I was afraid of...now I don't even like watching TV on anything else!

Mikayla has loved being able to crawl around in her diaper after she is clean/ has a diaper change....sometimes I feel she is escaping the minute her bum is clean...so I am sure when she starts walking there will be a nakie girl in our house!

The other day I was making dinner and was in the living room and as usual she was playing with all the things in her diaper bag....and the next thing I know I can here this plastic sliding on the ground...and Mikayla had pushed her wipes into the kitchen to me. Gee mom do you think this is a hint.....the funny part was...as you can see by the bulging diaper it was a "huge hint". What a funny girl!

WE went to our first "feeding the ducks" day. We tried to go to a place that Jonathan use to go growing up but found it covered with a barbed wire fence and there were goats/ducks everywhere.....pretty gross...so we decided to drive around to see if there were any other parks near the Jordan River that would be a bit cleaner. We happend upon a park in Taylorsville that also has a huge enclosed dog park that we'll be trying out this next week. They had a kids park as well and so we thought we'd try Mikayla in a swing. So instead of sitting her in the regular way Jonathan thought it would be good to try her so she wouldn't fall out easily.

Mikayla was laughing so hard. Unfortunately I only brought my the regular picture camera so we will be back to the park when it is warmer. She was laughing the entire time she was on the swing. The only draw back was it wasn't super warm so she was getting cold and so were we! When we brought her back to the car she was crying and babbling the whole way home. We didn't have to think twice to know this was because she wanted back on that swing.

Mikayla got a bunch of cute Lady bug clothes from Grandma Thompson. I looked at them and thought they looked too big to wear for a while.....but couldn't resist putting this on her.....to find out that it fits her perfect...meaning she is wearing big girl clothes! My baby is growing up so fast. She loves her highchair most times now because she knows that she is going to get something yummy to eat!

No picture for this...so I'll make a better effort next time to take one. This past Sunday I gave a talk in Church (you know the ones you get when you move to a new area). and of course the topic completely was meant for me to hear....I don't know how many people really cared to hear a talk about the Book of Mormon but I was grateful to have the chance to study and really plan my talk out. I stayed up late almost every night and with the help of Jonathan was able to get a pretty good idea of what I was doing instead of feeling like I was going to mess up.

Jonathan and I were called into the Bishops office this week and given callings......who guessed it....with the huge primary we have in the ward. We are going to be Team Teaching in Primary...I actually think this will be good for Mikayla since every week that I've been here I seem to have to leave to the hallway so she can not make so much noise for the lesson. While we are out there she always happens to find the primary room because of the children songs. I know she will like being in there with us and hopefully by the time she is 18 months she'll have no problem leaving us to play with the other kids!

Today we had the landscape company out to help us plan our grass, sprinklers and flower beds. I am so excited to be able to plant again and grow things! So in less than a month we will have GREEN grass and eventually some color along with that!

-well on a random note -

-American Idol is getting better each week...

-Corrina and Addie still bark at any noise that is out of range of site (IE a bedroom door when I am putting Mikayla to bed, the ice maker dumping a new thing of ice, a drawer closing) fun stuff for me!

-Ikea seems to not have what I am after....any suggestions on where to find nice looking storage boxes for toys in the living room?-

BEfore I forget about this.......
my little Brother Adam has been in a band that is now touring all over the country. This summer they will be in Europe and then back to the USA for another tour. Jonathan and I got to see them play the other night here in SLC and they were awesome! Their music is much different than I expected so I'm sure they will be much liked where ever they go. here is their website...and of course if you want any music....the more the Merrier for them! http://www.thaomusic.com/ I have to say if you can see them LIVE its well worth it.
The band stayed at our house. And as some of you know we don't have our basement finished so there was a few ground sleepers, and of course the couch. Mikayla got to see all of them in the morning and she seemed to really take to Thao.....maybe it was Thao taking to her..but either way They were both singing and eating apples it was pretty funny. I missed Adam the minute they left....I wish he lived closer to us! I guess thats what happens when we grow up :-(
