Thanksgiving is already over!
We had a great time with my family in Seattle this year.
Uncle Braddie came to visit from D.C. , the only ones we missed were Adam and Heather....which hopefully we'll see soon!
The Turkey Dinner was the yummy highlight of the week.

We also went to the Space Needle- which Jonathan and Mikayla had not been to before.Played a few rounds of Settlers of Catan, and sat in traffic for over 8 total hours that I can count. The only saving grace of this was the new van my parents have that has a DVD system in it.....Mikayla learned a new word "Mo-Mo" which in Mikayla means: Nemo. She is in love with the move Finding Nemo. Which has become the new reason to respect our parents....for watching the same movie....over and OVER and OVER again! My Mom and I made and Advent Calendar for Mikayla which was a lot of work! I wish we lived closer so we could do more crafts when Mikayla is taking her naps! Well onto Christmas!

Thanks again to Mom and Dad for the fun week! and of course the 10 trips to the airport for 4 people!

My first Snow ....
of course this isn't the first snow that has fallen since Mikayla was born...but it's the first snow she has been able to go and walk and play in. We got her a pair of snow boots and winter coat. Along with mittens and snow pants....she could barely walk! but she had fun for a few minutes. It was a bit cold for her and she didn't complain about coming inside after ten minutes!

She fell and couldn't get up and Jonathan and I were laughing so hard it took a few minutes to get her up....
and YES Jonathan wore sandals outside! What a weirdo!
TRICK OR TREAT??
Getting to eat candy right before bedtime...Yummy was this a trick? or treat?.....wait...this was a TRICK!!!!!!! Throw-up everywhere for Mommy and Daddy to clean up!
Note to self: Don't give Mikayla candy after she drinks a whole bottle of milk!
Mikayla had a very eventful Halloween this year.
She went to her First Kids Halloween Party-
Decorated (ate) frosted cookies....hers as well as anyone else that she could reach!
Watched a Pinata get torn up and ate a few Tootsie roll pops that fell!
Visited Grandpa Baker's house for some yummy M&M's
Visited Grandma Curtis's house for a yummy apple and candy stick...and Cousin Madeline's house for some more candy and apples...boy was she a Gem when we came home late!
WE hope you had a Happy Halloweenie!
*A disclaimer on these photos- Mikayla was not liking having her picture taken in her Halloween costume...so I got out her tent and some treats so I could snap a few shots! And yes the little pumpkin was Mikayla's and she gave it a Cleft Lip! nice!

Mikayla loves (not so much) getting dressed.
Once she is in the clothes she could probably wear them for a week if I let her!

My mom sent some very cute Winter dresses so I have to show them off just in case she somehow doesn't get her picture taken in them.

Thank you Grandma & Grandpa Thompson! She loves her new pink Cell phone too!

To the Great Women of the World:

BEWARE!!!!!!!!

Football is hazardous to your health! (or maybe just to mine!!!!)

If you ever thought you could get away from it......

stay at my house for a fall season....

Every Saturday (or whatever day) the lovely team of choice is playing

YOU may find yourself like me.....

realizing that your husbands Life for those 4+ hours (which may also include a pre/post game review) that your Husbands are NON Existent! I somehow seem to block this out every year until the blessed first game comes....and the season begins.....

"Jonathan, could you help get Mikayla"...

pause.....

(long pause)......

"WHAT????", says Jonathan as he pushes Pause on the already 5 minutes into the game and frustrated that he might miss the single play that every Man involved in the game will talk about the rest of the week.....

Ahhhh the life of a Football Widow.....

GGOOOOOOOOO BYU! (you can sense my excitement!)*

*Disclaimer-Sorry Babe...this the only way I can get excited for you and your Team!

Fall is one of my favorite seasons. I miss the traditions my family use to do like picking apples and sitting outside to eat dinner. But luckily there are always things I Love about this time of year...and of course everyday!

  • Mikayla's huge happy smile when she wakes up and then claps when she sees that I've come to pick her up.

  • Flower surprises from Jonathan.

  • The Crisp Fall Air.
  • Leaves Changing color.
  • Pumpkin pies & pumpkin cookies!
  • My family!
